Sticky Innovation, Thriving Places: from University to Scale up Networking Lunch

Join the UK university sector and Connected Places Catapult for a working lunch to explore how places can optimise the conditions for university spin outs to scale.

The lunch follows a morning of panels in the Connected Places Catapult pavilion in the Pavilion Square at UKREiiF, with a focus on regions reaching their full potential as the sites of business growth.

Some of the key questions we will dive into include: 

    • What does start, scale, stay mean in reality?
    • What partnership models should civic leaders explore to drive business growth?
    • Bridging not one but three valleys of death: how do we create the conditions to go from proven technology to proven profit?
    • Addressing the capital gap: are University Affiliated Funds the answer?
